Richmond Runners Place in top 10 of Collegiate Running Association 10K Road Championships

The Richmond Spiders competed in the 2014 Collegiate Running Association's first national championship held within the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K in Richmond, VA (March 29, 2014).  This event offered $10,000 in prize money specifically reserved for college students enrolled in at least 1 college course (under graduate, graduate or post graduate). For the first time ever college students competed in an inclusive event to determine a 10K road race champion.  In all 3,635 college students registered for the event...1,852 of those registered college students ran the Ukrop's 10K for the first time...1,200 of those 3,635 registered college students are also members of the Collegiate Running Association... The Richmond men placed 4 runners in the top 10.  Paul Chelimo (UNC-G) won the race in 29:23...
